According to an estimate one in every seven people in the world live in extreme poverty and shockingly almost half of them or over 450 million are children. India is estimated to have 150 million or one third of these poor kids. Though Centre and State governments are doing a lot to uplift lives of these poor young ones, yet some areas of Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Uttrakhand, Bihar, Jharkhand, Orissa, Chhattisgarh and West Bengal lag far behind.

Suffering Innocents

Despite all efforts condition of children in India continues to be pitiable. Lot of such poor children are denied basic opportunities, have malnutrition and safety concerns, have least educational facilities and are often considered useless by some sections of society.  Child labour, forcible prostitution of young children is still prevalent.
